I run NGK TR6 gapped at .038 for my Powerdyne. Most guys recommend a gap of .030-.035. I have a MSD ignition and that may be why I can run a wider gap with boost level at 8 pounds. With more boost or stock igniton it would be best to go with the .030-.035 gap.

Thanks for the plug recommendation. While I have your attention can you tell me if FoMoCo, or anybody else, sells a replacement vacuum line kit for a Gen1?

Most guys just replace the plastic lines with rubber ones. You can check with the supporting vendors on this site or start another thread asking where to find original vacuum lines.

Black93lightning, first sorry to hi-jack this thread. I would like to know if you have had your Lightning to the drag strip and if so what did it run? Do you have any other mods on the truck. I guess this question is for anyone with a Powerdyne.... Thanks.

My motor was rebuilt with a custom Comp roller cam, stock heads were ported, Bassani equal shorties, off road X-pipe, 3000 stall etc. The best it has run is 12.92 at 104 mph.

Thats pretty good, I just bought a 95 Lightning with a Powerdyne. I am only getting 5 pounds of boost from a 9 pound pulley. I bought it from a true hillbilly so I am working out the bugs. The best I have pulled is a 14.16 @ 97mph. My truck has the Powerdyne, 75mm throttle body, JBA shorties w/ Flomasters. I guess it is work in progress.
