Roller Conversion?

I am looking to do a roller conversion. I have found most of the parts but I am still looking for a mustang camshaft. Is there a aftermarket part number that is the same as the stock mustang camshaft? Would like to purchase new. Also doing smog delete, haven't ordered my tweecer yet. Thanks for any help with the camshaft.

If your looking to purchase a new cam, go custom then... If I remember right, ford wanted like 400 bucks for the cam.

I would download the Tweecer software before you purchase one. The learning curve is steep, and the documentation for the Lightning eec's sucks. Many have bought and sold a Tweecer because of the time and effort it takes. You will spend many hours on the internet searching for answers.

Not trying to talk you out of it, I just want you to know what you are in for.

And really, a Tweecer is just one part of the hardware required to tune. A wideband and datalogger are other integral parts of the "system"

Without knowing how the changes your making are affecting the air fuel curve, your just shooting in the dark.

aftermartket 5.0 cam

Melling makes a replacement 5.0 cam that is a copy of the original. It is part # SYB-51. If you go to autozone you can order it for around $185. If you want to order online to to autozones site and run the part # and order.

Stock Mustang GT cams are a dime a dozen. If you sign up with Corral.net or Mustangworld.com - you'll find them for sale cheap. I sold the cam out of my 92 Mustang LX for $50 with 60K miles on it.

I still have the stock GT cam in my 95 I am gonna swap soon. When I take it out whoever is willing to pay shipping consider it theirs.

I have a very nice used one out of a 1989 Mustang 5.0. I'll take $25 plus shipping. The distributer gear drive looks great and the lobes and journals have virtually no wear. I can send pictures if you are interested. 317-809-7499 Don
