DelValLO Awards Banquet (2001 Season)

Guys, just a thought. Maybe I'm going a little over board with this one but please here me out. I feel we should have a little get together over the Winter months when it Snows & there is (NO) Racing.

We could all meet at a place like TGI Friday's OR maybe even someone house.

I feel we need to do some more things as a Club if we want it to Grow. I think we should have some type of Party to Celibrate the 2001 Racing Season which started off Bad for most of us but Finished very strong for all of us.

...We can exchange small gifts or maybe even trophy's as a way to Promote the Delaware Valley Lightning Owners Club. I feel if we hold an event like this other clubs will see this as well & only make Clubs Better in there own area of the Country..

.Even if we hold our first DelValLO Club Banquet at Burger King the first year It dosen't matter as long as we are all together to have a good time like we always do.

..You guys think about where & When & I'll try to think of a place too.. Thanks alot guys , Post what you think Here & If I don't talk to you Guys & Girls Have a Great CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

I vote to meet at Ruby Tuesday's at the Freehold Mall. We could have awards for Fastest ET, Fastest MPH, Slowest ET, lol. What else guys? Best Looking Truck? Whatever, I'm up for it.

Yeah, I'm in; sounds like a good idea ! I'm a shoe in for slowest et. We'll have to do it in jan or feb.dec is just to busy already. everyone have a merry merry & a happy happy !!!

Ralph that is one of the best Ideas you have had in along time

I agree that we should do this. Like Ralph said, We do not need to have something big, Just something with all of us. Larry Rubby Tuesday Sounds good to me. Although I would be nice if we could go a little closer for some of us Southeren guys. (I am not ruling out Rubby's)

For a Date, Jan, or Feb guys. I was thinking of Jan 19. That is the third Saturday of Jan.

As for meeting at Ruby's, that was just a thought, if you guys want to meet somewhere in the middle I'm all for it, cause I'm just about smack dab in the middle of everyone.

Hey you guys know that I am in with anything . Now there is a place north of AC that has a Lobster buffet and I mean top shelf. Shrimp the size of ^ well you know what I mean . It is called the Seaview Country Club. For all you golfers they hold the Ladies Shoprite classic there in the summer . I think it is $50 per person, If we are gonna do it lets do it in style. Picture jumbo lump crab meat stuffing, all the Lobster you can eat, they have a few meats along with pasta if you want and top shelf dessert. For you guys up north it is just a cruise down the parkway. If you never experienced this place well you are missing out on something special!!! they stick the bibs around you for us sloppy lobster eaters and treat you like rich folk. Lets make a statement and show the rest of the lightning community that we have CLASS and STYLE!!! Well some of us do Captain

VICS? Where's that Rich? I've never heard of it.........OH WAIT.....I know that place. Their Chef is awesome & is a real SEXY MOFO.....he's got a real fast pink & white L w/ nitrous too. I heard he got a HUGE christmas bonus & he's dumping some of it into his L.......said something about running 12's on the bottle?....I dunno...............

Hey Everyone-About where we should eat, no seafood. Dennis, your idea was good, but some people (Larry and I'm sure others) don't really like seafood. Plus I wouldn't be too thrilled about spending $50 per person, especially right after x-mas. If you want to make it nice, but not too expensive, there is always the Olive Garden or Fridays, something more along that price range. And pretty much any weekend would be ok for us. Just as long as it is after the 6th of Jan. Talk to you all later.

That is a Very good point that I had already brought up to Dennis.
I was also thinking that if yous are going to have to party up in Freehold there will not be any arguement from me. Because all of you came to my house for the Bash. So I am game for where ever it may be.

Hey guys, I spoke without knowing that the place is shut down till April anyway. Good point Staci , and it is good to see that you are paying attention. Olive garden,TGI,any festive atmosphere is good. Captain would have had us kicked out of that place anyway
