Question www.JerseyLightnings.com

Hey, are there any Computer/Internet specialists on this board?

I've heard that now a lot of hosting companies offer super low fees to have a web site set up on their server... Something to the effect of paying: $15 (approximately) to register a domain name through them and hosting is free on their server... with a considerable amount of bandwith...

Is this any good, or does anyone know of a better deal?

I was wondering because it would be Smart to register www.JerseyLightnings.com for example... So that I cam move out: http://www.4adrive.com/jerseyvics/th.../svtlightning/ this page on its very own domain name.... AS we all know the SVT Lightning is a totally different animal from a Crown Brick!

Also, even if the costs are so low I still wouldn't be afford them all by myself... I'm a broke *** college student with nothing but time on his hands while I'm searching for a job... So if everyone who is interested would contribute like $1 buck we would make the proper payment to register and start up a new site....

The beauty of this is that we would be able to feature everyone's Lightning from around the Globe on this web site since the space will not be of the essense ( my site is filled with stuff on the Crown Vics thats why I don't have too much space for the L's) and we would have a National and International registry for all Lightning owners plus have a page for each one featuring their mods and whatnot...

So, let me know guys, any scholastical or financial help would be much appreciated...

Maybe by the BIG Spring meet we'll have a site for the Lightning Registry running already?

Let me know!

PS. I also registered a new e-mail on my account for all you Lightning guys to send a pic to so you don't have to mix it with the Crown Vic stuff, it is: mailto:JerseyLightnings@aol.comJerseyLightnings@aol.com</A>

Does this sound totally unreasonable? By the way, Jerzey is my username on there in case you wondering who posted it.

Thumbs up

Hey Mike, you must have missed it when I posted it somewhere below.

I am doing it now... I realized all of you guys would like to list your mods because you're very proud of them so please help me come up with a format for those mods and I'll be listing them for each person!

I plan on making a separate page for everyone and use a pop up or something so its easily viewed and can be closed to proceed to the next person's mods page!

lets make something happen, I think its worth it!

russ- what if you juat had links going to each page. like.....you put the pictures of everybody's truck on a "home page" and then, when you click a picture, it brings you to another page with a bigger pic f that truck and all the mods and times. when i get home (i'm in 4th period study right now lol) i will edit my webpage and show you what i mean. i dunno if this is what you had in mind, but i think it migh work. later.

yea, it will essentially lead to the next page when you click on the picture....

pictures are the things that take the most space so I'll have to compromise with them somehow...

the page will list all the specs and mods, but on that page I will also lead to more pictures of your trucks....

we'll see, right now I'm still in the developing stages...

and I will be registering (well I did already but it takes time with NameZero) www.JerseyLightnings.com
