Post Flexalite Fans

Hey Dennis, I know you have the flexalite fans. I'm curious as to what your total investment in them was, counting any other hardware you might have needed to get. I'm looking to get them soon and am undecided between the Flexalites or JDM setup. Wondering if the JDM setup is worth the extra bucks. If they are anything like the Gen2 setup then I know they definitely are in the looks department. I guess we'll see monday when they post a pic.

I believe I had $212 that includes shipping, invested fron summit and had a hose clamp lying around to replace the stock spring type top clamp. I used a few bolt lying around instead of some of the packaged supplies. I never saw a JDM set-up so I can't compare. Hey it still is working and I have no over heating problems

Thanks Dennis, sounds like a good way to go. I really need to get them. That blower belt slip is really killing me. You can hear it slip as soon as you get on the throttle. At least with the elec. fans I can crank down on it the other way, until I can get the renegade 8-rib setup. Too bad you need the elec. fans for that setup or I'd buy the pullies instead.

Just saw the pic JDM posted on the GEN1 Electric fan kit. Looks like I'll be buying the Flexalites! They're alot cheaper and look better IMO

Wink

Hey now they come in custom colors like red, blue, yellow and black. It is a puller type you need to specify. They have these nylon brackets that bolt to the fan and they line up perfectly with the top holes for the schroud. On the bottom I went thru the core with the nylon straps and it looks clean.

Then I could show you my nice new, uh wait....I forgot, I'm a member of Team Sneaky....I'll have to retract any statements and am not at liberty to make any comments at this time!
