| Guest | Leaving my work the other day i passed a fellow lightning owner. It was on a 25 mph road, with no traffic. Me in my red and him in his red. I slowed down, stared, and stopped in the middle of the road. He went the same speed, didn't even take a glance, and kept going.... I thought it was just a little odd... Damon |

| Guest | Damon, I know what you mean. I hate it when they just look at you like you are a idiot. But I guess that not everyone has to be in love with their trucks like us. ------------------ Justin DiPalma NLOC # 555 Black 94 #437 14.53 @ 92.01 MPH 14* Timing ASP Pulleys |

| Guest | There is a guy in my neighborhood with a black 01 L. I see him all the time, and I know he has seen me a few times, but he never stops to talk to me. I love meeting and talking with fellow lightning owners, but I guess this guy does not feel the same way.. | Guest | I guess you just have to understand that to the general public the Lightning is just a cool looking truck. There's a guy that I work with who still cannot figure out what is so special about my truck. His brother knows though, and wants to beat him whenever he starts getting stupid. Now, I hope I don't step on anyone's toes here but this is my opinion. I've for the most part given up on getting any recognition from gen2 owners. I don't know if they think they're unique, or just don't know that they're not the first ones. That's alright with me though because I feel that the gen1 trucks will hold a better value, and look 100% better anyway. Never really liked Ford's new bubble styling. |

| Guest | Its a 50/50 chance with Gen2 owners with me. Some guys will be real nice and be even more fascinated with my truck than theirs and then some owners won't give you the time of day. Same goes for some Gen1 drivers I see to though. ------------------ Laurence Weiler NLOC #339 12.78 @ 105.47MPH |

| Guest | Everybody's different. I came over to your wonderful 'Garden State' last Sunday (over 676 thru Camden- I doubt any garden could exist there! ). Anyway, just before I reached my turnoff at 295N, I came up behind a red Gen1. He saw me, I saw him, gave each other a quick wave as he went down 42 and I turned off.------------------ Mike Hague '99 L Black 13.36@102.26 '95 Cobra R 13.18@106+ '91 GMC Syclone 12.0's@111.5,,,so far [This message has been edited by Hamrhead (edited 03-29-2001).] |

| Guest | Camden, sheesh, I wouldn't take the Mack I drive at work through there, let alone a Lightning. There's a garden there alright, they just grow crack in it! Anyway, I try to be nice to anyone with an L, it just seems that most of the people in the gen1's are a little more friendly. Possible that maybe the gen2 just hasn't been out long enough for them to comprehend. Kind of like the Harley motto"If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand". |
