Dates for World Ford Challenge 5

The dates for WFC5 are May 16th thru May 19th, 2002 As usual the meet will be held in St. Louis Missouri.This is a great time for all and make sure and make your hotel reservations early.

This year promises to be even better than last year and I think you'll all be real surprised at some of the plans and things we have in the works!

I'm very gratified by the number of new members and the number of membership renewals is great.It's really nice to see the pieces coming together again...
So those are the dates,stay tuned for more info as I get it.

Yeah, but this time we really need to try and get all of our rooms together! The motel was decent enough, but last year we were supposed to all have a block of rooms together! I had 2 rooms and one was on the 1st floor in one wing and the second was on the top floor at the opposite end of the hotel!

Thats my only grip! We need to be together, cause everyone parties anyways, this way neighbors won't B***h about it!

I'm done ranting............

One small piece of advice for ya'll.

IF you have someone reserve a block of rooms (as they did last year), somehow make sure they actually DID reserve your room. I ended up paying out my *** for our rooms because I didn't get a club discount or anything (and all along I was assured my rooms were booked).
I was damn lucky to get the rooms I got. Thanks to a couple other members that heard my plea and had an extra reservation.

Unfortunately, Chris and I won't be able to make it next year because the baby is due in May.

Just an idea....can you start a forum for the WFC 5 like there is for the WFC 4?

Do you have your room booked yet. You gonna be at the same hotel like last year? We'll prob. bring the baby again. She enjoyed and seemed to have fun too.

I'll be there again, too. Sure was fun this year. Hopefully won't have to drive back and forth from Rolla, MO (almost 2 hrs one way) like I did this year. Anyways, we had a get together in Fairview Heights, don't know if you were there Jerry, and it turned out pretty good. Loved the burnouts of the two black GEN 2s. We should do it again. It was great meeting other L owners from all over. I had a bunch of stangs that were supposed to have showed up from mustangworks and other boards but most of them didn't show. Mostly L's showed which was alright with me

. Think something like that could be set up again?

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we stay at the Ramada Inn about 20 minutes from the track????That actually was a great place, nice rooms,good food TGI FRIDAYS and large parking area.Do you remember the location of the motel????
If so we'll book it and get the WFC5 forum going...

Count on Speedy being there, pre-approved.

I vote to retain the Fairview Heights Ramada. However, the fewer late-night, alcohol-induced burnouts between rows of vehciles the better else face the wrath of Bulldog...or something.

I would love to make this year my first year at WFC. Specially with my rebuilt motor. Except for the travel money about how much should I expect to spend on Hotel and everything else? I need to know a ballpark figure so I can get the funds ready. About how much did you guys spend last year if you don't mind me asking. Thanks in advance and I can't wait to meet all you guys.

Oh yeah I already know how much to bring for on beer/alcohol (hehehe)

Oh yeah one more thing is there a website for WFC? I'd like to start planing the trip now. I'd like to know about the track and dirrections. Also I'm sure there will be groups of people going together I'd really like to meet up with some people and travel with them. Thanks again, Adam

Yes...I do REMEMBER where

, and it was the Fairveiw Ramada. The rates were about $65 a night for Ramada club members. Those rates were for confirmed rooms, guaranteed with a credit card. Fairview (a suburb of St Louis?) is about 6-8 miles from the track.
