Here we go with another appointment for the NLOC.Please extend your welcome to Mark Jacobs our Vice President of Operations.In this capacity Mark will monitor the pulse of the club,assisting me in malking sure nothing and I do mean nothing falls through the cracks.For those of you that already know Mark(aka Baby Jake) there isn't a better person to help us organize and grow.Mark is a very intelligent and caring person and his people skills will be a great assett to our club.I'm very glad Mark has agreeded to help us in this capacity.Please extend a hearth welcome and make Mark feel at home.

Yes, Baby Jake will be in charge of making sure the hops are ice cold. I will help dispose of them.

Oh, you guys crack me up!!!, I feel like I have a reputation, or something, I guess I will do my best to uphold it!

Thank you all for the well wishes and support.

Please allow me to fill you in on what some of my duties, objectives and goals will be as VP of Ops, (OK hops).

1. I will be 'looking over the shoulder' of the President, just to make sure he doesn't screw up too badly. j/k!!! Jerry is doing, and will continue to do a GREAT JOB!

2. I will be working diligently to increase memberships, both new members and regaining the confidence and renewals of delinquent members.

3. I will be monitoring club members' feedback on a regular basis. I will then ensure that the comments, suggestions, gripes, etc. are addressed at the ‘board meetings’ and an answer and/or resolution is formulated.

4. I will be responsible for ensuring that the minutes from the ‘board meetings’ are recorded, (help Nan), and are made public for all members for review and comment. I intend for these minutes to include, but not limited to, a treasury report, new and renewal member listings, new business, upcoming events and local chapter news and/or inputs as applicable.

5. I also will be acting as the president's ‘right hand man’ for any special projects or problem solving ideas as requested.

I apologize for the long post, but I hope this ‘clears the air’ on this job discription. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask!

In closing, I would like to reinforce a very important point made by Jerry Hart a while back. This club BELONGS TO THE MEMBERS! We simply have a ‘board of directors’ in place to facilitate the clubs official business. It is up to each member to speak up and be heard, so please post any feedback, comments, suggestions, gripes, etc. under this CLUB NEWS heading. Until we are able to get a FEEDBACK heading up and running

Again, thank you all for you support. We will need continued support throughout this transition phase.
