| Guest | Ok, I know theres been a lot of discussion about this lately and some of it not so nice. The NLOC is going to change hands. I took the club back from Jeff, because I missed the people, and missed helping people and providing technical info, and just shooting the breeze with members as I used to do. I enjoy having PSP, I still get to make people happy, but a vendor relationship with a customer is normally not as personable as a club relationship with a member, and I missed that. I knew that getting the club back would be a chore for me, and that is why I intended for Lisa to run it, with me providing the technical support. Thinking up the game plan, is looked doable on paper, and I was pretty confident that we could get it back up and running with ease. It obviously didn't work out that way. It took two months of red tape just to get the club registered as a business agian in NY. It also took a long time to get the member info done and add the new members that have recently joined. That is our own fault, because Jeff had a great setup with everything on computer, but we had a hard time figuring it out, and never really got the hang of how to use that data. We just recently got it all done, and Lisa has been busy stuffing envelopes all week, as we were just about to send out a letter to ALL people who were ever members, active or not, about the takeover. If Jerry hadn't made his post on F-150, they would have gone out today. Now, concerning Jerry, I have spoken to hi in length about his plans, as I would not turn the club over to someone I felt would not do a good job. Jerry has great ideas, and he has already taken steps to make them happen. I feel that Jerry can do more for the club than I can, I all I want is to see the club flourish and prosper since it is my brainchild. As much as it saddens me to hand over the controls for a second time, I feel Jerry would do a better job than I would right now. I still plan to be active with the club, and will help Jerry any way I can with the turnover. With this said, let me address a few things that have been brought up recently. First, some people are upset this happened on F-150 and not over here. Please understand that this only happened over the past 24 hours. He made a post about it on F-150 last night, and I responded and asked him to call me today, which he did, and that's pretty much it. It's not like it's been an ongoing thing and I've been purposely not coming here. This is not true. I've just been really busy with PSP, and don't have the time to visit all the boards. Sure, I did have a responibility to come here every now and then, and have been chastised for it. I deserve that. I bit off more than I thought I could chew, and that is why I am turning to club over to someone who can devote the proper time. Also keep in mind that I wanted to do stuff with the UBB that would make it easier for me to come here, and the members didn't want it done, so I left the UBB as is. For the Gen 1 guys, please don't feel left out. There are plenty of Gen 1 members out there, and since this is a CLUB, there will be tons of people to offer advice and support for Gen 1s. The club had previously been run by one or two people. Now it will be run by a TEAM of people, and there are many new reigonal divisions so there should be a lot more people involved with the tech and member info. As for the Gen 1 guys getting the cold shoulder on F-150, you have to understand that that site was made for 97-up trucks. It's not that nobody wants to help or converse, it's more that there really are not many people there who can offer any help. In closing, I hope that people understand my decision. I know many "old" members were excited to see me back in control. I hope they are not dissapointed in my decision. The new guys have mixed feelings about me, some good some bad. If you don't like me jut because of what happened over the past 5 months with the club, that's a shame. I'm one of the nicest and most helpful guys you'll ever meet, with a deep passion for these great trucks and thier owners. SAL |

| Guest | Thanks guys, your words mean a LOT. I was so happy when I took the club back from Jeff, and now it saddens me twice as much to lose it a second time. I'm actually starting to tear up right now typing this. I'm glad that Jerry and Jeff are going at this with the enthusiasm they are, because it lets me know things should work out great. My biggest worry about the whole situation was that I didn't want to lose peoples respect for not being able to follow through with it like I had hoped, and I'd still love to help out with the club if Jerry wants ![]() SAL |

| Guest | Sal, Because of the recent events, I hope you don't alienate yourself from the list and forum. When you took over the club earlier this year, I honestly expected to see more visabily on your part on this list. You failed miserably on that aspect. However, on all other fronts you have proven yourself as a very informed, knowledgeable individual, that is always willing to help others and share your vast knowledge to others regarding our trucks. You also offer 1st class parts and your discounts to NLOC members were always gracious, for that I thank you. I know you have a few irons in the fire and feel overwhelmed at times, I can't begin to imagine all that is involved in doing a club like this and still have time to make a living. Thank you and take care and don't be a stranger. Steve ------------------ 94 Crimson #2826 Born May 6, 1994 NLOC member #343 Team Powerdyne, 13.49@ 102mph Wanting 12's 'GREASED' |

| Guest | Curt Saw your post and felt it was necessary to let you know who this Hart guy is(ME) He cares alot about the future of ALL the Lightning members and clubs. He wants to make the NLOC a business operated club, with input and events for our members. He wants to organize and unite the Lightning members. He was posting on the f 150 board until I was pointed in this direction. So as you know I am Jerry, and I don't blame you for wanting to know a bit about me.I got active with local Lightnming events in 2000,I then was lucky enough to attend WFC4 where I became completely hooked on the mebers,Great people!!!!! I had three of the best day I have ever had,and spent more time talking to fellow owners and realized that the $30 I sent in to belong to NLOC was a good investment.Well I waited and waited to get contacted by the powers that be to get my membership info,IT NEVER CAME! After months of waiting I got a bit fed up,and was discussing this with my lightning buddies,we have several in the area.I told them we could do a better job of running the club than a single individual,so I took steps to get the club from Sal.He agreeded and here we are.this is no longer a one person operation. We have the folllowing leadership appointments Vice President Gen ! Jeff Sparkman Vice president Gen 2 Robert Peden Vice President of Operations Mark Jacobs Vice President of Systems Dwight Dolliver Treasurer Nan Dolliver and several regional spoksmen,so what was a one person run club has become a balanced team of individuals taking care of special areas of expertise. Not only that we have several sponsors to be named at a leter date,we'll have caps and shirts for purchase,Free for new members. We have agreeded to sponsor Street Lightning class WFC5 and more but I felt obligated to let you see the time and effort that is being put into the reorganization of the new NLOC I hope this is of some comfort for those in doubt,We won't let you down. Thanks Jerry |

| Guest | Cool...It's nice to see the club ran in a business manner, where all the load is spread amongst the members instead of on the shoulders of one person... ------------------ Curt '93 Red Lightning #4232 http://www.geocities.com/lightning_struck93/index.html |
