| Guest | Hello Fellow Lightning Owners I've had the opportunity to talk to many of you either by e amil or by phone.I've gotten for the most part favorable response in getting the NLOC back on course. Of course there are a few skeptics, and I would guess rightfully so,but this is going to happen. Sal was going to meet a friend of mine in Bowling Green this weekend, well something came up and Sal didn't make it(much to my surprise).Sal posted under the topic Dues,Memberships,This and That.I encourage you all to read it.Having done so I can tell you what is happening. Sal has records to pass on to me,if I get em fine if not fine,I'm not going to drag this thing tru the mud there has been to much of that already. These are the following things I can tell you will happen, and are happening. hats , shirts, decals, and membership cards are in hand and ready to go.We should be able to process memberships starting on thursday or friday of the coming week. For those of you going to Byron on the 7th we'll be there signing up new members. I've sat by for the past 6 months and saw nothing was getting done to get the club up to speed and back on it's feet, that's over, were getting our feet under us and running with the ball. Jeff Sparkman has been very generous for keeping the board going while the rest of the club was in limbo for this we owe Jeff bigtime!!!! Jeff is the heart and soul of the NLOC,and my only hope is to do as good a job as Jeff did,and is doing with his continued support. So to put it rather bluntly which I have avoided doing we are moving forward regardless of the information I do or don't get from Sal. I definitely didn't want to get to this stage but I see that NOW time is valuable and to wait another day is a day to long,so with your support forward we go. Thank You Jerry Hart |

| Guest | Ok, now, I don't know about this "heart and soul" thing. I really appeciate the sentiments but I'm just a guy who loves these trucks and appreciates the people who drive them. There are definitely a lot of people out there who could (and certainly will) do better. And besides, I was - am - only one facet among many. On top of that I couldn't have done very much at all without a huge amount of assistance, both directly from Trace and indirectly from all the other members. We simply built on a foundation that someone else laid. This community is what it is because of the involvement of so many diverse people who all have a similar goal. There is no singular heart - it's about all you guys out there who bleed Ford blue and who are proud to display that lightning bolt. It's about those members who find a better way and those that follow the better way. It's about a bunch of people who swell with pride over the fact that they're TRUCK drivers - a fact that raises more than a few eyebrows in the elitist car circles. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm just one of the guys. And like everyone else here, I'm looking forward to the future and what I can do to help! Thanks, Jeff S. | Guest | Jerry, know that you have continued support from all of us. Like it was said, a few days wont matter much in the big picture of NLOC. We dont expect everything in one day.
