| Guest | As promised GEN 1 Lightnings will not be forgotten .I spoke with the former President Jeff Sparkman,he's our man for Vice President GEN 1.This was a simple decision and made with only the members in mind.Jeff has written many many technical articles about the GEN 1 and this is a perfect fit. Jeff has offered his expertise in this area and I have accepted it,I hope this meets with all your approvals.I will apoint people who have shown a desire to promote and raise the bar a bit higher than we might have ever dreamed. Jeff I want to thank you for your offer and I think all parties concerned KNOW this is the route to go.I want you all to know I'm no power driven person, goal oriented yes!!! So you guys and gals welcome Jeff back to the world he helped create and having Jeff onboard is the best thing that has happened so far,and it will get better. Please extend your congrats to Jeff, and I promise more announcements are forth coming, Thanks all fellow NLOC members Jerry ------------------ J MAN 2000 SILVER MANY MODS BEST ET 12.35 @ 108.69 |

| Guest | Hi all Yes to anser a question asked there will be a Vice President of GEN 2.It will be a few days before this appointment is made, but the announcement will be posted on this board,so while I can't give anyone a name at this moment I can assure you it will be a person with extensive GEN 2 knowledge.Jeff was the obvious choice for GEN 1 ,were lucky to have him onboard,I just want to make the same positive step for GEN 2 so please bear with me. | Guest | Thanks, gang! I'm extremely excited to be "here."As I mentioned on the "New President" thread, Jerry and I had a very extensive and constructive conversation last night (the first of many, I'm certain) and I was very flattered when offered the role of "VP Gen 1s." We talked in detail about the continuing involvement of the Gen 1 owners and I don't think there will be any problems there. One of the things we tried to do while I was at the helm was focus the club on PEOPLE rather than what year truck they drove and I think that worked out pretty well. I believe that Jerry will continue that effort and I'll be here in the official capacity of reminding everyone of their Lightning roots. ![]() If you have any questions that you'd like to ask in private, please feel free to email me. If you have any you want answered publicly, please post them here or under the Gen 1 section. If there's anything club-related that you'd like to see, just let me know what it is - or Jerry directly. Yours in Lightnings, Jeff Sparkman NLOC Vice President, Gen 1s. ![]() |

He more than anyone else, deserves the position. He is a great guy and did a great job running the NLOC. Sounds like you are building a great team Jerry!Good to see you back Jeff and I support the idea of club money helping Jeff to pay for this site. ------------------ Chuck P 1993#3951 (24k miles, mod'ed and lots of custom parts) NLOC#138 MiLOC#10 00 Focus ZX3 99 GT conv 91 GT (race/show car- in hibernation) |
