| Guest | Hi all My hands have healed from all the typing I did yesterday, but I wouldn't have it any other way.Ok the subject of dues has come up.Right now I have no idea of who has and who has not paid,or the people we have lost due to lack of interest by the , well lets just say the club is getting the attention it needs, not on a weekly basis but a daily basis. So as suggested to me by a fellow Lightning owner and very good friend .At this point in time I'm going to ask the people who have paid and not gotten their new membership info card etc, please let me know.Shoot me an email whatever it takes,I never got mine so I guess there are more like me out there, let me know who you are, this is an honor system and I trust everyone to let me know the status of your membership. So you can email me tell me the typical info name address phone e mail year of L # of production I'll probably have to start all over with new numbers but that's no big deal. For those of you who have never belonged I need the same information. I think the dues were $30 lets stick with that,we can at a later date increase the dues depending on the things we want to accomplish. Please encourage your friends to join if they are interested, and it's our job to RENEW interest. I think we need to set some goals like 100 Lightnings at WFC5 there's a good start!! We had 49 last year. Another topic is the seperation of the Generations of Lightnings,I agree 100% if you have a Lightning it's a Lightning regardless of year. The only seperation that is or has been made is that the Vice Presidents of both Generations are your sources of technical knowledge, you know who takes care of the early years already,I'll do my best to not talk in terms of Generations of Lightnings,I wish I had one of both!!! But my wife wonders where I went since a few days ago when I began this crusade to get the NLOC together again,so I guess another L is out of the questiion. In closing I hope this has put the word out to let me know your membersip status. If you are not a member you may email me your information or mail it to me,NO CASH PLEASE!! Make checks payable to the NLOC/JERRY HART.I have an account open,so were off to the races. Many thanks to all. Jerry Hart 313 8th ave Hampton IL 61256 hamptonharley@yahoo.com |

| Guest | Hi Jerry, Randy here. Dunno if we've met at the races or not. If so, I apologize for not remembering. Things are already looking much better on here...seems like forever since some positive posts have shown up. I have got a couple of questions for you though. As you can see by my signature, I'm not a Lightning owner, just a wannabe. Hopefully one day soon, but with 2 teenage kids to keep vehicles 'going' for, the Ranger is about my only toy I can afford. I hope it's safe to assume "us wannbe's" are still allowed? 2) I've seen mention several times about WFC this or that, but no mention of Fun Ford Weekend. I hope this isn't going to get left off the NLOC agenda. The TopTruck class in FFW has grown to be one of the largest classes at their events, second only to Mod Motor at 4 or 5 events and that is because they pay $7500-$10k per event win. If you've never attended a Fun Ford Weekend event, you should. NLOC gets tons of exposure and mentioning. And there is another truck class that's growing by leaps and bounds...the Truck/Lightning class over at the National Mustang Racer's Association. The inaugural race for the class in Orlando,FL this year had 4 trucks...the last one in Atco,NJ had over 15 and I bet the one coming up this coming weekend in Bowling Green, KY will top 20 easily. Alot of our members are showing up at some of both events, both FFW and NMRA. I'll have been at 11 FFW events and 5 NMRA events before the year is over. I ask you not to lose the interest in the FFW. By all means, if anything, pick up the NMRA also. That's alot of exposure. Go to www.nmraracing.com and see what they have planned for the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show coming up the last weekend of November in Indy. I'm telling you....LOTS of exposure. 3) If you haven't read any of the old posts, go read a couple of mine, mainly the one about the $50 payouts (see "Question for Sal"). Right now, the 'Club' owes me $150 and depending on the outcome of the last 2 FFW races, possibly as much as $250. Here's the deal. You keep the money in the club. All I want out of the deal is for my membership to be good through Dec.31, 2002. I'm not sure right now when it's in need of renewal because Jeff renewed it once or twice in lieu of paying me the $50 for a win. Hopefully the money will go to good use and nobody can say us wannabe's don't contribute. All in all I've been proud to be a member of the NLOC and I intend to continue to do so. Just don't forget about us 'Lil guys'...we like having a place to race too. Good Luck to you in your massive endeavor. I don't envy you at all. If I can be of any help let me know. I'll be glad to do my part campaigning for the NLOC at any of the events I go to. Hope to see some of you members at Bowling Green this weekend and/or Ennis, TX next weekend. ------------------ Randy Morrison, SGA Racing. 1987 Ford Ranger-351w. | Guest | Thanks...I was kinda thinking I had met a couple of you there. Sorry, but I'm terrible at remembering names. Any of you that were at Cordova coming to BG or to Ennis for the make-up race? Look me up if you do! ------------------ Randy Morrison, SGA Racing. 1987 Ford Ranger-351w. Best ET 11.000 @ 124mph. 2000 TopTruck World Champion. | Guest | Randy Oh Yeah I remember you from FFW.I saw that little Ranger with all the shootout stickers on it, and the thing saying Top Truck Champion 2000 and I'm think Oh man this isn't going to be pretty>I think we kind of got taken for a roll at FFW but just my thoughts, according to the rules it was to be run the following day(monday)oh well such is life. I'd say your definitely a candidate for the Lightning club,I know the expense of the raisnig three sons that's why at 53 I'm just getting started. Do me one favor if you can,and I know by previous posts you've tried.I think you are owed some money.I can tell you that the proceeds I'll be getting won't even begin to cover the outstanding memberships that we have to cover. And I have already agreeded to soponsor Street Lightning at WFC5 $2500 so try and get squared up with Sal,if that's possible. If not we'll take care of it one way or another, like you mentioned you don't ride for free, and racing is EXPENSIVE, thanks and great to hear from you Jerry ------------------ J MAN 2000 SILVER MANY MODS BEST ET 12.29 @ 109.46 |

| Guest | Go back and reread the post above. Let's just call it square. I doubt seriously I'd get the money from Sal (no offense Sal, but it's like eating on credit...once the food has been eaten, it's hard to pay for it later on). If you can find out when my membership expires and let me know, we'll go from there. I was hoping the $150(possible $250) would cover me till the end of 2002. Let me know. Thanks-Randy ------------------ Randy Morrison, SGA Racing. 1987 Ford Ranger-351w. Best ET 11.000 @ 124mph. 2000 TopTruck World Champion. | Guest | Hi Jerry, Could we keep our old #. Some of the old timers (not me) have grown fond of their charter status. Also, I was given an honorary life time membership, (lol). Keep up the good work. Oh by the way, I'll be in to purchase the nloc hat and tee shirt when available Steve ------------------ 94 Crimson #2826 Born May 6, 1994 NLOC member #343 Team Powerdyne, 13.49@ 102mph Wanting 12's 'GREASED' [This message has been edited by sstock (edited 09-27-2001).] |

| Guest | Keeping the old numbers is fine, but I don't know where they ended, hence not sure where to begin.Don't wanna step on any toes but I'll know more when I get more info from Sal,if not we'll start the new members at 1000 and go upwards, then fill in the lower numbers as they appear for renewal....If anybody has a better idea let me know. Also a shirt and hat will come with your membership along with membership card and decal. That much I have taken care of.We need to decide if later in the year or early next year if we want tp pump a bit of extra money in the tank so we can get involved with more events, but we can discuss that later, Thanks Jerry |

| Guest | Ah, I was willing to pay for my shirt and hat,(now jumping around the room doing the hustle) but if it is included in the membership, so much the better. I think I'm going to like this regime. Later Steve ------------------ 94 Crimson #2826 Born May 6, 1994 NLOC member #343 Team Powerdyne, 13.49@ 102mph Wanting 12's 'GREASED' |

| Guest | Jerry, had some things turn up and couldn't make it to BG. But Lisa and I are getting things ready for you. We are gathering all the new members that joined and putting all their info together, as well as sorting out current member info. You should not have any problems with member numbers or anything of that nature when you get all the stuff from us. ![]() SAL |
