| Junior Member | A while back, someone mentioned the possibility of using a chip and predator together. This is basically how I would think it would work:

| Registered User | Yep, thought about that also...Problem I could not overcome is that the progs we are loading are overlays in a sense. Neigther the Predator or any of the Chips are replacing the entire contents of all the banks...from what I understand. I did not pursue this route further since I really did not understand what was being modified in each tune and how each parameter in each tune could affected the system...Does that make any sense? Figured it was cheaper to purchase specialized tunes than to risk injury to the system. |

| Registered User | SLVR is right, the predator can modify ITS file, but don't try to modify the chip's files. It will screw things up. A friend had his flip chip switch/LED go bad. He thought he was modifying the Predator tune, because the LED was off, but was in one of the chip settings. Results: a corrupted (screwed) chip and locked predator. ![]()

| Registered User | This works perfectly with the red chip, but there's a wrinkle with the newer design black, revolution, chip. With a red chip in the off position you can use or tune or install a predator tune. BUT, with a black chip it must be pulled to modify or install a predator tune. You can then reinstall the chip and switch (run) between the three positions, no problem.
