On Device is just using the Xcal to datalog. It's called passthru if you use the xcal with a laptop and the Livelink software to datalog like you were doing. I just trying to find out if the xcal will only save 90 seconds worth of datalog info or more. I've heard that it either only logs 90 seconds or that it only displays the LAST 90 seconds.

How do you view perameters on the device itself? I've yet to figure that out.

What do you mean spence? When you use the on-device datalogging it automatically displays all the parameters you've selected but only 2 fit on the screen at a time, you just have to scroll through the rest. Not sure if that's what you were asking.

But how do I get that to come up on the XCal2? I'm not seeing the selection on my device. Is it the "Capture Data" function? If so, when I try to select that it won't let me.

You need to use Livelink to choose the parameters you want to log. Then you name and load the livelog file to the xcal. Once it's loaded and your plugged into the truck you should see the file under the Data Capture menu on the xcal. You have to enable all the parameters and then it will initialize with the PCM and begin logging. I attached a .pdf document from SCT on how to setup the xcal for datalogging. I'm not sure if SCT has fixed the issue, but the only way I could get the livelog file to showup properly with Livelink4 after datalogging was to import it with Livelink3, save it, and open it with Livelink4. Hope this helps!
