On my 2002 mustang gt steeda Q400 that i just got, came with the sct xcalabrator the one with the 2 buttons Select, and program, and then has 4 lights (F, p1,p2,p3), and the power light. I plug it in and was trying to change the tune when the Theft light came on and know I cant start my car. NEED HELP dont know what to do.

The car thinks it sees a foreign key in the ignition. If you've already flashed the PCM, you'll probably have to contact a dealer. Have you talked with SCT about this problem? Do you mean that the Steeda cars came with an x-calibrator to tune it with? If so, contact Steeda. Either way, if you can't load the program that it had, before you tried to tune it, you'll have to have it reflashed.

I know this is able to be done with a Predator not sure about the SCT though. I did this once at the track and I called my tuner and he gave me a combination of buttons to push and it released the computer so that it could be rewritten. One thing to learn and I learned this the hard way, do not have any ights on or your hood up (light on under there) when you are flashing your computer. This is what happend to me the wind blew my hood causing the light to flicker and there by causing a current surge and freezing the computer.
