Unhappy Xcal2 datalogging problems and tuning prob's

I have been attempting to get my Harley tuned with XCal2 from JJ and he has tried almost everything under the stars with this problem, no results so far. I had installed the Xcal2 tunes and started the truck, which ran very rough, if at all. I tried datalogging with updated firmware 1.15V (went back to stock for this procedure) and reloaded starter tunes. This problem occurs exactly at the time when I activate the green tab to record on LiveWire3, after setup of PID's and save configuration. The engine cuts out as soon as I start to record everytime! Even if I give a little throttle, engine shuts down immediately, and this message appears: "No data sent for 5 seconds". I have tried reloading tunes, JJ has tried everything and no luck so far. I have to give him credit, he is trying very hard, just don't know what to do. All this is being done by email tuning and I loaded starter tunes for new engine to break in. Very radical engine: GT block, Crower stroker crank 357ci, TEA stage 3 heads w/big valves and beehive springs, stage 3 cams, KB 2.6L, 60# injectors with JDM big fuel system (-8AN supply, -6AN return, intank assembly with dual 255lph pumps, adjustable regulator set @ 39 psi idle), BA2600, 4" intake CAI pipe (MAF in lower valance, Kooks long tubes, 3" collectors, 2.5'" Bassani catback and mid-pipes SS, built DMP trans w/2800 Hughes TQ convertor, valvebody, etc.

What could be the issues? The engine just cuts out everytime I hit record on LiveLink3! I was able to record the very first tune install with same software on first starter tune and sent that data to JJ. Ever since that time, the datalogging is not working, even back to first tune, same setup and all. Ideas??

Andy

Luckily the initial datalog you sent me allowed me to adjust your tune and now the truck runs good, so atleast thats a plus.

I am still searching my data to see if I can find anything that is keeping this from happening. I will let you know if I find anything.

Send me an email Monday and I'll reply with a new tune from a different database and see if that does the trick.

Thanks for your patience Andy, we will get you fixed up soon.

JJ,
In all honesty, is it sounding like it's time for a new PCM? I know these are not cheap, but if that's what it will take...then let's go for it. '04 L PCM?
Btw. I really appreciate your efforts and the time you have invested in this project!

Get that PCM used, turn off PATS, and you're golden (cheap too!)
