Question Xcal 2 and fuses

I just got a Xcal 2 with two custom tunes in the mail. I was going to put them in the truck this weekend after I change my plugs and lower pulley. After reading the directions it says that after plugging the Xcal in I have to pull the fuses for the fan and fuel pump before downloading the custom tunes. This is the first time I heard about doing this and the tunner did not say anything about it. I can't even seem to find the fuse for the fan after reading the ford manual. Any advice on this?

I never worry about pulling the fuses. As long as you have a good, fully charged battery you're good to go.

Yeah don't bother to pull the fuses.
