Thank for the great comments guys. I need all the motivation I can get. I've been working on this 6 months and I should have been done already. Some days are tough to get going. But it's getting close to paint, finally. I'm presently filling and sanding the hood. The fenders, filler panel and part of the bumper are done.
I did some research on the diamond cut clears and found there is 3 different manufactures. Inpro Car Wear (IPCW), Depo and Spec D Tuning. From what I hear, the IPCW are the best of the bunch. The Spec D have the chrome bulb cap and have a completely clear lense. The other 2 have a textured border, top and bottom. The big problem now is, IPCW and Spec D have discontinued the signal light. I haven't found anything to say if Depo has discontinued them. I was lucky to find a complete set of the Spec D on Ebay. I have them on order from California. Hopefully I'll have them by the end of the week.

I had to clean up the inner fenders. There was a ton of holes that I needed to fill. When I first built the truck, the inner fenders weren't finished very well.

I had a bit more work to do on the bumper slot. Got it welded in and it just needs to be smoothed out.

There was several little things that needed to be finished up. Had to make a new bracket to remount the tranny cooler, install hood bumpers, rework rad support, makeup new support brackets for the rad, roll the fender lips in 1/2" for more tire clearance and a general final fitting of the parts.
You can see the cooler bracket in the pic above.

Thanks for the compliments. I am actually a plumber/pipefitter by trade. Needless to say, you should see the piping on the exhaust system. Scraping out a stainless steel water system makes a great addition to the truck.
I have a long way to go that I could do bodywork for a living. I take way to long and the little details I go to, don't make money.
Anyway, I finally pulled it outside. I've been dieing to see how it looks. I'm happy.
I should be able to paint it next week, if I'm lucky.
I thought I might have been screwed for the lights. I got an e-mail from the seller, 7 days after I ordered, to tell me they had over sold and needed to reorder, 1-2 weeks. Then the next day, I got another e-mail to say they have been shipped. I have the tracking number, so hopefully all it good. I was worried I would have to clean up the stockers, that are burn, ground, sanded and covered in filler.

Wow. It looks awesome. Now all you need to do is swap to the Crown Vic IFS so your wheels tuck up with decent looks. The poor truck looks ghetto modded with that I-beam suspension tilting your tires so much. Do you have airbags?

I like the look of the truck. Where did you get your door glass? It looks like you got rid of the smokers window, which is something I am thinking of, and how much is your front cut down? Would it have been easier with a fiberglass hood? I currently have a Cervinis hood and I think I may want to do something very similar. I am betting though that it would almost be easier to start with fenders like yours and cut them down/open them up to fit those lights flush like you did vs redoing stock fenders that already have a bigger opening.

Nice work

Yes, the CV IFS might be a future project. It has air bags and it's fully aired out. At ride height, the frontend is perfectly aligned.
The one piece door glass is from a Ranger. The roof was chop 3" and the windsheild laid back to match the angle of the door glass. The windsheild is uncut. The fenders were piecut 3".
The hood turned out exactly the way I wanted. I like the front of the '94 hood, but not the back edge, with that extra line across the back. It should have flowed into the cowl like the '88. The hood now has a perfect blend of the 2 hoods.
Fiberglass would be easier to reshape, but I hate working with it. I hate itchy.
I like sheet metal. I considered fiberglass for the filler panel around the lights and grill, but steel won out. One way to do a fiberglass front is to cut the fenders off, just behind the lights, then make a complete new nose in glass that would bolt on.
Using '88 fender, instead of the '94, would require the use of the '88 hood and cowl. The is quite a bit of difference between the years, around the hood and fenders.

By piecut on the fenders you mean that a wedge was taken out in front, and then a cut further back on the top to allow it to close the front wedge cut out, then metal put back in at the cut in the top? Wow. You worked really hard man.

Your cowl, are you using the body lines that extend into it from the hood to hide wipers or did you completely get rid of them? I was thinking I wanted to smooth the cowl but I also like the ability to wipe my windshield and pass inspection anywhere. With a cowl shaped more like yours it looks more feasible to hide the wipers vs just eliminate them.

I am hoping I don't dislike working with fiberglass too much, and I am thinking after I get the look I want from the fenders in steel I am going to have quite a time getting the hood to extend properly, but that is fine the look is worth it. On the complete glass front you suggested it would be more like a mustang front then, but I will just have to see how bad I make things look...*L*

I was looking at my front about 5 months ago thinking that when I get a chance to put my drivetrain plan into place the stock metal will simply not work. I was trying to see what would make it look more sinister YET still retain that simplicity and clean looks from Ford. I was very close to your design, but the hood being cowl induction, and I did not know if I wanted it shorter top to bottom....now I do. Your truck is the best looking F150 in existence....until I make mine! *L* It looks great.

How hard was it to cut your radiator support down to get the proper rake? Did you just pick a spot and section a 3" portion out all the way across? I am simply in awe of your metal molding abilities. You sir are beyond top notch. We here at the NLOC are very lucky to have a member who can work that art so well. Lots of us are mechanical, but what you have done is artistry.
