LOL, I'm reading it at work right now. Pretty nice! I'd definitely say it's worht the $100,000 for the performance and uniqeness. I always compare exotics that are in that range to the NSX. The earlier ones wanting $80,000-$100,000 weren't worth $75,000 let alone $100,000. I think I'd still take a Viper if I was dealing in that price range though.

I was about to post about that, read the article last night. How many pounds of boost were they running to get the 500HP/500TQ numbers? Do you think we can get them to produce that blower housing and intake to mount our blowers to the 4V heads? Probably not huh...nice to dream!

ANYTHING can be bought, but who wants to pay that much? Also, they said it was only pushing 6-8lbs of boost!

Is there a website with a pic? I haven't seen it, but as the GT40 is the most beautiful car of all time, I'd love to see it's younger sibling.

Cool

I like the Silver one better, the yellow one looks too kit-carish.

I have always liked the Mk I version the best, and I'm glad they decided to go that route. I'd have to say with this car, and the Forty-Nine, Ford could really be expanding the niche market.

Seriously, all I have to say is, if Ford builds that, my L will be sleeping outside. I would buy that beast in a heart beat. Ford needs a car to be the "big brother" of the mustang. They don't have a "dream car". Chevy has the corvette and dodge has the viper, but Ford dosen't have that unafordable dream car like every other car company. I know there are some pretty awsome stangs out there, but face it, stangs are fords competition for the comaro.

Hey fast, you're absolutely right! Ford hasn't a supercar, but this would do nicely. In fact it's as beautiful now as it was in the sixties. Still to me the greatest design ever built. Build it and I'll sell my house for one. Naw, on a second thought, my house might not cover it. Make it as cheap as the Z06 and I'll swing it. Maybe as cheap as the Viper? Aw, c'mon!

Gitchi, I agree. If it were to sell for the same as a Viper I think it would do as well. For $50k it would do extremely well. But for $100k I think they would have very few takers.

How the heck am I supposed to swing the GT40 and the Forty-Nine?

WOW, I have to post again about how much I love this car. Ford did a great job with bringing that old look into modern days. If Ford comes out with this car I will love them soooooooo much. I am getting withdrawals now !!!! damn!!!
