 Who the hell was this guy!?!?!
Me and two of my friends were on 280 coming back from a discount club thing where they sold car stereo stuff. It was about 9pm and there was no one on the road. 280 goes through rural areas where there is pretty much nothing but land so its usually not crowded. Since there was only a few cars on the road we decide to speed up cuz we wanted to get home(were in a 89 Camaro V8 RS btw). So were cruising at about 95-100 when all of a sudden some car starts catching up with us. It was a newer 4door chrystler or something, i dont really know what i was. anyway, we thought this guy was just playin around. so he kept up with us for about 2 min. then slowed down. we were still goin 95. then he comes back up again and turns on lights and the little buzzer thing that cops use to pull you over. We were like what the hell, this guy aint no cop. he was dressed in normal clothes. the lights on his car were inside the headlights and he had a solid red light near his rear view mirror(in cali, you cant pull someone over unless you have a solid red light). he comes on his loudspeaker and says slow down, 65, 65, the speed limit is 65. now if this guy was a cop he would have definetly pulled us over. now, i think, that its illegal to make traffic stops and use your lights(if your a cop of course) unless your in uniform, this guy had no uniform on. so my question is who the hell was this guy. was he just a random person who decided to take the law into his own hands and go tell speeders to slow down?! anyway, after he said slow down we did cuz we didnt know if this guy was goin to pull us over or not. after he was done yelling at us, he took the next exit, and we were goin 65, we passed a chp on the side of the road that had pulled someone over. so i guess we were lucky in a way.
anyone know what this guy was doing. i dont think it was an unamarked cruiser or else he would have pulled us over. |
