Cool Saleen gets a Paxton...

Guys,

I just bought a Paxton, and I need advice on what else I should do to increase HP.

What heads, headers, fuel pumps, injectors, chips, throttle bodies should I use?

I am looking to do this as a Winter Project, and I already have the usual K&N and Flowmasters. I do not want to convert to Mass Air.

We need more Power.

Thanks,

JFX

Cool

I'd say at least a 190 LPH fuel pump if not a 255 LPH. 24 lb. injectors if not 30s though 24s should be enough. If you are staying speeddensity you'll need a chip (put the car on a dyno and have a chip burned for it) or EEC-tuner. 70mm TB I'd say. Heads?? Hmmm...I don't know. There are alot of good choices out there. I'd look into the Holley systemax kit with heads, intake, cam, but I'm not sure how well their cam is matched for blower motors. Personally I'd use longtube headers with shorty H-pipe and like a Magnaflow or Bassani or Borla catback. What is this all going in anyways? What year stang and all that? Motor (I'm assuming 5.0 out of an 87-88 stang)? Tranny and rear gears?

The year of the Saleen is '87.

The rear gears are 3.08's.

I have taken the cats off and have the American Thunder system on, but I still have the original headers on.

I am going to intercool this set-up. I have access to all types of intercoolers, and I know that it will aid in power.I won't be running any more than 8-9lbs of boost, but I want to be sure it can handle this.

My biggest concern is the heads, and the fuel system.

I just need a well thought out game plan before I tear into it.

Eventually, we will add a 6 point, and more suspension tweaks, but I am getting ahead of myself.

Thanks,

JFX

Get rid of the 3.08's and stick in @ least a set of 3.55's.

Cool

Yeah I'd go with 3.73s myself. Don't forget an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge. Have you tried the Windsor Power forum on www.mustangworks.com/ for a source of info? Go there if you haven't. Lots of help there.
