| Guest | I got the oportunity to drive Speedrules2's Focus this weekend. That is one FUN little car! Ford has really done this right. It handles great, has a very smooth gearbox and has plenty of torque and power at every RPM range to make driving a blast. I got awesome 2nd gear BURNS every time I tried. Only bad thing is the speed limiter kicks in at an easy 108MPH. The price is great, too. (Sorry I left the lights on!!) Good job Jeremy!! Now if only SVT would throw on a turbo to kick the rice burners butts!!! ------------------ Jason #1554 in 1994 FMS mass air Powerdyne,8PSI,bybass 14.17@96 SO FAR!!!!!!!!! |

| Guest | Hey Guys, I talked to the crew at Steeda about their supercharged Focus. This thing is BAD. They said 200hp is NO problem and it looks killer too. Its yellow with the interior leather in black and yellow. Too cool!! And the price is the best thing. Between $18-$20,000. If you want a sweet Focus call Steeda... ------------------ Rod K. | Guest | 93 Flareside: No I do not have an SVT Focus, I wish I did though. I purchased a 2001 ZX3 with the Zetec and a five-speed. It is really a pleasing car. You can tell that the chasis could handle a whole lot more power. Are you listening Ford? I took it on a 120 mile round trip last weekend on a really curvy road (the road to Houston, MO, SVT450). It was a blast!!!! The only car that I have ever owned that approaches the handling capabiliites was my 90 Plymouth Laser. Here is the best part I drove it hard and it got mid 30's m.p.g. Keep your Flareside and buy a Focus too!!! |

| Guest | Well, my new rental car is a focus (see "welcome to my nightmare" in the gen1 forums) And I must say its not a bad little car. I have the 4 door one which has ABSOLUTELY no balls at all (compared to my lightning anyways) but it handles very crisply and the interior isn't too shabby at all. I'm sure the svt model would be a fun little car. Oh and the best part is it has more leg and headroom than my lightning. It also has a really decent sounding stereo for an economy car. The first rental i had was a new monte carlo, which was an utter turd. Sloppy handling, and a really wimpy v6 for such a large car. Crummy chevy interior too. |

| Guest | BLoG: I am sure that the rental that you got was the 2.0 SPI engine with an auto right? I had a 98' Escort with the 2.0 SPI engine. It was a good little car. It did not have any guts though and it was a stick. This Zetec motor is a pleasing little engine. I mean its not going to run with you L obviously, but it does good for what it is. Later Jeremy |
