Blower came off last night. Tom lifted it off and then said, looks like there's no need to pull the intercooler. Yeah, well theres 4 bolts and 2 hoses to get it out so pull it and I'll clean it. Pics, of course. This is after 2 and a half years with a L & S oil separator. Not perfect but WAY BETTER than nothing or even the air compressor specials for 50 bux. In that 2 + years it was a trip to Indy for WFC 10 and running in the Street Lightning class, some local racing at Bremerton, a trip to L Fest 6 and local running around. About 25 thousand miles. Yeah, it's REALLY clean compared to not having one at all or one of those cheap imitations !
The blower. It had just a bare haze on most all of it. The upper plenum had just enough to feel the slickness but couldn't really see any oil & the throttle body was the same. Here's a shot or two of the blower...
Set of plugs got tossed in since it is a bit easier to get to them with the blower and midplate/intercooler out of the way. Autolite AR 103s this time. The kid whipped out the plugs while I was doin' a little cleaning on the blower and intercooler. He got done before me ! Sez, he's got plug changes down to around 20 minutes ! Me ? I'd be doin' real good to knock'em out in an hour !
Now I gotta get the rest of the top end back together, light it off to check it and warm it up for an oil change. Just putterin' on it and polishing and waxing the '95 and '02 as I go......
Real happy to see such minimal oil in the intake tract, blower, and intercooler.
