I was finally able to spend some time getting the '00 up to some kind of presentable condition this weekend. I think it had been waxed once since it was new, but is now enjoying a slathering of Zaino and will receive another couple of coats before the 24th. The bad thing is that the enhanced shine brings out some of the "ouchies" in the finish. It looks fine from 5' away, but there are enough fine scratches from the lack of wax to make me nuts (Ok, nuttier).
