I don't know all of the specifics...but I personally would have left the car at the dealership with all of that noise eminating from under the motorcarriage...
I would then try professionally to have a civilized conversation with the Service Manager...leaving fists in pocket (very hard to do
explaining to them their inability to rebuild a simple internal combustion engine...
Dennis...did the motor knock when received? Personally it sounds like valve train clatter...and not piston slap. Reminds me of the time I stabbed a distributor out of phase...timing would be my guess.
I would also write a letter and make 3 copies. On this letter I would include all 3 addresses. The Better Business Bureau. Bankston Ford and a small claims court attorney....
I would expect recourse at this point...
Last buy not least....let them know that conversation is taking place on the internet....and by the way. Who and where is Mr. Bankston?? Send him a copy first.
