Then after getting it all hooked up they realize that what is intimidating is the shear number of things that can be changed and what they mean.
Your approach is right on target, get the thing hooked up and try some basic stuff first, shift firmness, injector slope (size), a bit of timing, etc. That way you will get used to the software and how everything works. If you can work a mouse and keyboard your pretty much set

Like I said the computer part is easy.
