I don't know how people are blowing up motor all the sudden. I've beat the chit out of my engine with NOS, pulleys, no motor oil once, and its still ok.

I would worry about a chip to much.

just do some basic mods and get some good HP.

chip, filter, lower pulley, shift kit, and you'll be all good with no problems and you'll run 12's too!
