Bob - that's sort of where my thinking was. I may be overly cynical, but it seems like even in anonymity, giving the dealer techs the ability to readily identify modifications when they otherwise may have gone unnoticed, and perhaps a check list of items to check when the vehicle came in for warranty, could be readily accomplished using this methodology.
I'm not saying this is what is happening, just expressing my natural distrust of the current dealership repair network.
