Westwood Animal Clinic has an excellent training program (I think it is 913-362-2512, located at 47th and Rainbow). You want to be in Dennis' class... he has an excelent program (there is one other instructor, but she isn't as good). There are many programs, but the first one is really the only one you need. It is once a week, for 6 weeks, $90. This is one of the best ways to have a great dog... it teaches you how to teach your dog more than it teaches the dog. Also, the most important thing is that it helps socialize your pup, and teaches you how to let the pup know who to accept and who not to accept, so you have a protective dog and a lawsuit-conscious dog.
If you have never raised a Rottweiler, I strongly recomend reading "Rottweilers, A New Owner's Guide to Rottweilers," by Urs Ochsenbein. There are many good books out there, but this one is the best. You might be able to find it at Petco, if not, you should be able to find it at Borders.
I started Heidi in her puppy classes at 4 months of age, and she was the best behaved dog there. And if you want tips on successfully housebreaking the dog let me know... my dog hasn't had one accident since she was around 14 weeks old.
If you have had many dogs, a lot of this might be useless to you, but for me this was the key to training my Rott. Good luck, and I would love to see your puppy! That is one thing I did with Heidi, I had her around a lot of adult Rotts, and the other dog in the last picture I included above (the one on the left), was a good temperment teacher for Heidi.
