well i would sya the 96 and above cobra's might be like that. my 95 has a 302. the 96 and up cobra's power comes on strong in the higher rpm's. i lined up against a 96 and beat him up until the 1/8 mark and bam he was in front of me and i couldn't catch him. even though i was in front of him at the 1/8 he still ran a faster time than i did. you know,due to rt. my best 60' so far has been a 2.13. i always try to get the tires to spin a little because if i don't and the rpm's get to low when i take off the car will bog on me. the only mods i have done to the car are 3.73's and pulleys. the tires spin very easily with the 3.73's. next on the mod list is my new cam and porting the heads. i have the cam, now just have to find time to swap it out. i'm hoping with the new cam,ported heads and possible new headers i will ge my times down to 14 flat and maybe even high 13's. what all have you done to your R/T? i havn't had the chance to race an R/T. gotta watch out for some of you guys though! |
