Almost any fabricator can build a 3 or 4 link or anything else, but it doesn't mean it will work any better than what came in the vehicle. In fact, you may end up creating more issues than you solve. Excellent suspensions is the result of exhaustive trial and error, excellent engineering (by real engineers or technicians) and real expertise/ experience.
The FR-500C Mustang, raced in the Grand Am series, and built by Multimatic is a beauty to watch at the track. The stability and speed of that car is astounding especially when you compare it to far more sophisticated hardware in that series. (The Porshe guys initially mocked it) Yet, I was amazed by its simplicity. Mutlimatic spent countless hours tuning that car on the chassis dyno and making sure every component matches perfectly. It can be found in the FRPP catalogue for the tidy sum of 225K.
Massaging or tuning a suspension is one thing, but building a complete new set-up that really works is usually the result of significant sweat and tears.

Often one more than the other.
