AFR Heads being sent back Stay tuned !

I am really bummed out now.. I was all set to head down to the Mine Shaft {CECIL MD} and rip off a killer pass on the NEW SSTOCK tune but now that's not happening. Well after blowing my cheap graphite gaskets, I took the heads to my machinist to check them for straightness. He stuck the head in a automotive dishwasher and planed on milling the head to make it true and take off as least as possible. I get a call today telling me that the Valve guide clearance is like real excessive. He said it is like they reamed out the guide for another valve stem. AFR says it should read .3435 - .3438 ID He is coming up with .370 They are so sloppy that you could put the valve in and wiggle the face on the seat alot. He can't believe my truck ran this good. A leak down test would show this condition!! The stock AFR valve stem is .342. I called AFR and JASON gave me a RMA #. At first they said that it could be wear due to valve train geometry. I said that I have less than 1500 miles on these heads and run Mobil 1 oil. I told him what cam I have and the Steeda RR . I explained that I didn't hear any noises. It might be a material issue or assembly problem. Either way they want the heads to inspect and come up with a conclusion. If it is their problem the cost of repair and shipping is on them!!! I will keep you guys posted... PS: who wants a Cecil ticket for $40.00
