That's a little over 2 tanks of gas assuming both tanks function and you can get 16 MPG to get there. We, in Washington, face just barely under 2000 miles each way, but for us the price of gas goes DOWN as we travel east ! After Idaho it starts getting cheaper. Utah is good as is Wyoming, Nebraska is okay and Missouri is embarrasingly low in relation to us up here. Your jaunt is only a 2 day drive and that makes it an easy drive.
You could leave Wednesday morn early and arrive Thursday afternoon, and then leave after the festivites on Sunday and be home Monday night.
Hopefully, it won't move from the center of the country, it's a LONG drive for us west coasters now as it is. It's worth every mile and penny tho, the trip is half the fun !!!
