Need insight on lowering Gen 1

Hey Guys im a newb on here i got my lightning a year ago and I want to do suspension work. I dont wanna drop it more than 2 inches I was thinking Belltech springs, and rear shackles. I want to know what shocks I could run with this set up I hear bilstein are the preferred ones. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would i need the drop shocks or the stock height bilsteins? somebody told me the drop shock bilstein will only work if you have 3 inches of drop in the front and 4 in the rear.. Thanks guys
